Three generations of the Bishop family. Handmade in precious metals.
Some jewelry gets made. Some jewelry gets born. Cruzan Gold is the second kind.
Three generations of the Bishop family working precious metals on St. Croix. Brian started this in the seventies — a sailor and diver who began tying nautical knots in gold and silver as a hobby. He'd carry his first pieces around in a handmade mahogany box, showing them to whoever would look. That box is where Cruzan Gold started.
Now Nathan and Therese run the studio on Strand Street in Christiansted. Every piece is inspired by the island — the sailing knots, the history, the reefs, the light. Every material is recycled or eco-friendly. Gold with a conscience. Silver with a story.
When I'm asked what makes a shop worth featuring here — this is what I mean. Family artisans making beautiful things by hand, from a place they love, using materials that respect where they come from.
Go find them.

In their own words...
Cruzan Gold is the studio of the Bishop family of artisans and metalsmiths. Together they design and create original pieces in gold & silver using local materials of their island home on St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
Brian Bishop grew up sailing and diving in the waters of St. Croix. He first started tying sailing knots in precious metals as a hobby in the 1970s, selling his first jewelry pieces from a handmade mahogany box he carried with him to display and share his budding passion.
Now, Nathan and Therese can be found in Cruzan Gold on Strand Street creating new designs inspired by the history, people, and natural environment of St. Croix. All of the materials they work with come from recycled and eco-friendly sources.
Feel the love.
